Key Responsibilities
Trade Finance Operations:
Oversee the issuance, amendment, and settlement of import and export LCs. Work closely with banks, suppliers, and internal teams to ensure timely processing of documents and payments. Manage Standby Letters of Credit (SBLCs), guarantees, forward contracts, and discounting arrangements. Monitor foreign exchange (FX) exposure and advise on appropriate hedging strategies when required.
Treasury Management:
Manage daily cash positions and forecast liquidity needs for both short and long terms. Optimize banking facilities and control interest expenses. Develop and maintain strong relationships with banking partners, negotiating financing limits, interest rates, and terms. Ensure accurate and timely execution of treasury operations including payments, fund transfers, and reconciliations.
Regulatory & Compliance:
Ensure full compliance with SBP regulations, including E-forms and WEBOC requirements. Maintain thorough trade finance documentation to meet audit and regulatory standards. Collaborate with internal audit teams and external auditors during trade finance reviews to uphold transparency and regulatory adherence.
Reporting & Analysis:
Prepare regular reports detailing trade finance positions, bank exposures, and liquidity status. Analyze the cost-effectiveness of trade finance instruments to support strategic decision-making. Provide finance and procurement teams with insights and data to assist in budgeting and working capital planning.
Required Qualifications
A Master’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or Business Administration is essential. Professional qualifications such as MBA, ACCA, or CA are highly preferred. Candidates must have 6 to 10 years of progressive experience in trade finance and treasury functions, preferably within manufacturing or trading sectors in Pakistan. A solid understanding of LCs, SBLCs, guarantees, foreign exchange dealings, and SBP compliance is critical. Experience with ERP systems such as SAP, Oracle, or Odoo is strongly desirable.
Preferred Qualifications and Benefits
Candidates with advanced certifications and extensive hands-on experience managing complex trade finance instruments and treasury operations will be given preference. This is a full-time, on-site position offering a competitive salary starting from Rs1.00 per month.
